Hey there, I'm thinking about upgrading from my 7700k soon and wanted some advice. I mainly use this machine for gaming, so I'm curious which CPU would be best. I'm considering the 3080ti, i5-12600k, or i7-12700k. I don't think an i9 is needed unless it really boosts performance for games. I plan to stick with DDR4 until DDR5 becomes more affordable and common. Looking forward to your thoughts! Thanks!

The 12600k seems to be the top option, similar to choosing a 3080ti over a 3090—about 3% better performance for nearly double the cost.

12600k is sufficient, but I’d choose 12700k since I’m a bit of a fool.

I would receive the 12900k since it might irritate others

They really lose patience when I present them with this PC configuration I’m planning for the second quarter of 2022.

I think I'd probably save a bit on the price, but only if that's what you're after.

This would be a smart financial move—I'll walk away.

Setup is all messed up now. Requires 32GB dimms so DDR5 can run dual-rank. Probably the reason for the 4x16GB configuration.
