I noticed a puzzling situation with your new setup. Despite everything running at full capacity, some games aren't reaching their maximum frame rates. Your specs look solid, but the performance feels limited in certain titles. I see you're pushing the hardware to its limits—Fortnite and Diablo 3 are the clear examples where the GPU struggles to keep up. The memory usage seems normal, and thermal issues aren’t present. It might be worth checking if your RAM timings or frequencies are not optimal for those games. Also, consider whether any background processes or drivers could be affecting performance. Let me know what you find!

It's usually your GPU handling the task, not the RAM.

You're right about the performance ceiling. It seems you're reaching the frame rate cap. RAM isn't the issue, and Intel CPUs aren't demanding high memory bandwidth. I'm not sure about G-Sync, but it's possible it restricts FPS based on your monitor's refresh rate, much like VSync does.

It looks like the issue might be with the game itself, possibly due to a FPS limit. I don’t think there’s a strong reason to push for 144 FPS in a fast-paced shooter like Diablo 3.

These titles are quite old, and it seems the engine is limiting their potential at this stage.

Using quicker RAM can boost performance. @_Omega_ @jj9987 In theory, yes—it would help. Since he already has high-quality components elsewhere, the next limit is likely his RAM speed.

Most games rely on optimized performance rather than faster RAM, making a noticeable impact limited. A Titan RTX or a 2,208 Ti with NVLink could help, but the gains might be modest.

Did you verify your power plan configuration? Ensure it’s High Performance. Additionally, review the GPU settings within the Nvidia control panel.

Expected results are confirmed. Focusing on each core’s activity shows one consistently reaches full capacity, particularly in WoW. Not all titles integrate smoothly, which can cause your CPU to appear underutilized.

Thanks! The power plan was already set for high performance, but I hadn’t adjusted the GPU settings. I switched to Optimal initially, then changed to High Performance. It didn’t noticeably change gaming speed, but it fixed a problem where the GPU made loud whining when idle (monitors turned off). I used screen savers before to handle that.

@jj9987 You’re right about G-Sync—it’s helpful, though Fortnite can exceed 144fps. I’ll look into it more.

@Viper9 That’s a fair point. I don’t think it’s necessary right now. It seems like a minor tweak at this stage.

@dizmo You’re correct—I’m open to the idea. I’m considering it an older game issue and might just drop it with the other titles. Overall, I’m satisfied with the performance, and I won’t upgrade soon.
