Where To Print Something Outside?
Where To Print Something Outside?
I need to send a document early in the morning before 8am. Right now I don’t have access to a printer. Usually I forward the file to someone I know who has a printer and they print it for me. This isn’t possible because I need it quickly. What are the alternatives—Staples, CVS, Walgreens, FedEx? FedEx doesn’t seem available until later. If I use CVS or Staples, how would that work? Staples says you upload the file to an email address and get a code to print it. Is payment already processed online before you arrive? I’m worried about whether printers will be working when I get there, since some reviews mention CVS locations don’t have them. Security is another concern; I’ve read that with Staples staff they might view documents. If you have sensitive info, that could be a problem. Do anyone know places open early, before 8am? Is CVS likely to be okay? My main worry is reading reviews—many say these stores don’t offer printing services at all.
I would choose the items I’ve used before. With Staples, you can upload your file to the online portal, pay online, and collect your print job using a code. However, there’s no assurance the printer will be operational when you arrive—this is based on personal experience.
Security note: If it’s true, no one should see all printers have caches of printed documents. Workers might glance at what you’re printing, but the chance they’d care is extremely low due to lack of motivation and reward.
I just discovered this recently. I need to print it early in the morning.
I need to reach a specific spot with those papers before a certain deadline. Any Staples or similar places where I can print them must be nearby. This means I might have to visit another Staples if I go to one in the morning and find the printer isn't working. I'm under time pressure, which is a major concern. If these are sensitive documents, could there be copies available? I saw a Reddit discussion suggesting staff could view them upon request.
Currently, only a handful of locations are available before 8am. There’s also the worry about whether they provide printing services. If the document is confidential, you may face security concerns.
It seems like you're looking for a place to store or access sensitive files that don't require immediate printing. Maybe a secure digital library would work better. Or perhaps you're questioning the need for a printer at all. Have you considered alternatives to physical copies?
I seldom require printing documents. Occasionally I need them soon and didn’t realize they weren’t printed yet. I assumed I had them printed days earlier. Likely I should print no more than three times a year, usually just twice. This seems to be the only instance where I needed something printed urgently, such as before morning. I’m trying to figure out my choices here.
Have you thought about purchasing a printer? You might be able to make up for the cost by avoiding the rush and morning inconvenience of not having one. For those without specific requirements, a simple laser black and white printer is quite budget-friendly. Wishing you a great day!
It seems a bit unusual and possibly too late, but almost every business has a printer. Visit a McDonald’s, approach a manager, describe your issue, and if you're fortunate they might allow you to print the document. A kind gesture could influence their decision if they’re not ready.
