I recently assembled a tower and purchased a large case, which is filling up fast. I own an ASUS Maximus Hero VIII MB with a 6700k CPU, water cooling via a Corsair H100i GTX dual radiator, a Samsung 512 G 950 Pro NVMe SSD, DDR4 3200 RAM, and an 1080 GTX GPU. I also have three 140mm Corsair fans—one at the back and two in the lower front of the case. I just placed an order for another 1080 GTX and plan to install both water coolers using closed loop systems. I’m unsure about the best placement for the radiators, ideally aiming for dual units but not sure where to mount them. I’m new to liquid cooling and want maximum performance for my VR/modeling work. I have a budget for almost anything but am starting this project in another department. Could you suggest some suitable mounting options or locations? I’ve already ordered the GPU and would like to complete everything at once.

Combine CPU and GPUs into one loop, skipping the Corsair AIO which will be greatly surpassed by a custom setup. For radiator mounts, use a 280mm front, a 360mm bottom, and optionally a 140mm rear—most people skip the rear one. Having both 280mm and 360mm in the same loop suffices for two GTX 1080s and a 6700k, especially with a thicker radiator in front. For fans, EK Vardars is recommended.

Combine CPU and GPUs into one loop, skipping the Corsair AIO which will be much slower. For radiator mounts, use a 280mm front, a 360mm bottom, and optionally a 140mm rear—most people skip the rear. Having both 280mm and 360mm in the same loop works well for two GTX 1080s and a 6700k, especially with a thicker radiator front. For fans, EK Vardars is recommended.
