I visited the "Open with" option on my laptop and mistakenly chose "Share." This was the first time I used the share feature.
A dialog appeared asking me to search for people or email, listing contacts I hadn’t interacted with in about 18 to 22 years.
It’s confusing—where could these names come from? They aren’t in my Gmail or Outlook contacts.
This situation is unsettling. How can I remove this list and understand its origin?

There are significantly more sources of our data than we realize. A few years back, when applying for a car loan, it requested information about phone numbers and addresses that I hadn’t used in this century. All of them were valid, yet not particularly up-to-date.

Disconnect from the Internet and attempt the share once more. If these addresses persist, they are stored in a cache on your laptop and can be cleared. If they disappear, they originate from the Internet, and you lack control over any information shared there.
