Hmm, seems like Intel stopped operations because of some big issue. It’s quite old, so they might be reducing output or stopping entirely just because it’s outdated.

They're no longer produced, so basic supply-and-demand rules apply. But the demand isn't increasing much... This pattern repeats each generation when a component stops being manufactured, causing prices to rise.

In the x7xxK series, yes. However, the 9900K model for the flagship introduced some changes.

Might as well wait for the 10700K. 8 cores - 16 threads and just another month or so. If Intel is smart, maybe it will be more price competitive with AMD.
