This sounds like a persistent issue with display mode settings in your game (likely CS:GO or League of Legends). Here’s a breakdown of potential causes and solutions, categorized for clarity:
“My system has a 144Hz monitor, so I’ve adjusted Windows display scaling to 200%. This way, the rendering speed is increased and the visual quality of the screen remains sharp. I've also set the NVIDIA Control Panel refresh rate priority to be at 144Hz for maximum smoothness.”
Just thought to mention that for some odd reason it doesn't do it in rainbow six siege, although it will do it in the league of legends client. I have a feeling that it thinks that the program is in fullscreen when it clearly isn't.
I’m experiencing a persistent issue where my screen becomes unresponsive after Alt+Tabbing out of games like CS:GO and League of Legends. My games are configured for fullscreen windowed mode, and I've tried various solutions including borderless gaming and restarting my computer, but the problem persists. The issue seems to affect not just my games, but also Discord and the League client, preventing me from clicking out of them when minimized in window mode. It’s as if my system constantly interprets everything as being in fullscreen mode. My monitor is a BenQ XL24D and I'm using a GTX 1070 with a 144Hz refresh rate on Windows 10. I recently completely reset my PC to try and resolve this, but the problem continues.
Adding to the specs above, I have an i5 6600k, an ASUS z170m motherboard, 16Gb (8x2) of 2133mhz ram, 256GB ssd with a 2TB SSHD and I honestly can't remember my psu I just know that it's 80+ gold rated. I'm not sure if that is relevant though as this occurred after a system reset (which hasn't happened the previous times I have reset my pc). Surely it's just a setting I need to change somewhere. Sorry for the late reply as well.
