When Word 2010 is minimized, a fresh document appears on your second screen?
I'm using Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 with two monitors set up in a stacked configuration, adjusting display settings to "Extend these displays." The bottom monitor is designated as the primary one, and the task bar appears only on that screen. When I open Word documents (or multiple ones) on the primary monitor and then switch to another document—whether new or previously created—I notice it automatically opens on the top monitor. For instance, if three Word files are open with two minimized, opening a new one causes them to appear on the top monitor. I can still left-click on any of the minimized documents, and they launch on the bottom screen where they were initially opened. If I select all minimized files to restore them to the primary monitor, new or existing ones now open there too. Moving documents from the top monitor down to the bottom one works, but dragging them back up again restores them to the bottom display. This behavior changes after a recent clean installation of Windows 10 Pro.

This could assist, partially or fully. I believe a previous setup or adjustment was altered or reset after a clean install. It's unclear how much of a document retains memory of its last display or opened screen. In any scenario, if the "last monitor" isn't found, it will fall back to the main one.
This is particularly relevant for older versions of Word.
