Is there any information about when the updated Dell XPS laptops with the 12th generation processors will become available in physical stores? Right now they're only accessible through the Dell website. I'm interested in purchasing a 17-inch i9 model from places like Best Buy, Amazon, or Costco for credit. All stores are still stocking the 2021 models, which have been available for several months—other locations should likely have them soon.

17inch models began arriving directly from Dell starting April 13th. Based on Dell's history with premium laptops priced over $1600, it could be a long wait until November-December. It seems Dell has been considering shifting higher-end models to exclusive sales channels for some time. Unknowns remain.

For instance, at BestBuy, company-wide XPS laptops are selling poorly, especially the ones priced above $1500. This lack of demand likely reduces their availability in stores.
