When the USB hub is connected, USB ports are turned off on the Asus Prime Z390-A.
Details: The system runs with the specified components, but when the Dell USB hub connects, keyboard and mouse fail to activate until after a short delay post-boot. Once operational in Windows, everything functions normally. Attempts to disconnect the hub or switch ports haven't resolved the issue. This seems to be an isolated problem with this particular hub. Have others encountered similar issues, and have you managed to get it working?
I’m experiencing the same issue on my Prime Z390-A. It fails to recognize the keyboard or mouse until Windows drivers become active. I’ve tried using an Anker Ultra Slim 4-Port USB hub and recently an AV Access KVM switch. The motherboard only detects these devices when they’re plugged directly into a USB port without any hub or KVM in between. I’m still running the factory BIOS, and I noticed a new model was released in December 2019. It’s unclear if an update will help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
