I discovered hibernation mode is really handy and effective, but pressing any button activates it like sleep mode. After researching, I realized I should turn off USB power when not in use, though I couldn't locate that option in BIOS. It would be fine, but for an unclear reason, it shuts down by itself at random times (Windows 10 x64).
Check the installation process shown on your motherboard: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1042220/. If you need further help, share your motherboard model.
Have you adjusted the Power Options? Open shortcuts, Step 1. Click the battery icon in the taskbar then left-click Power Options. Step 2. On the next screen select "Choose what the power buttons do." Step 3A. The Hibernate option is typically off by default; a checkmark appears if it is. Modify Power and sleep buttons along with lid settings as needed, then click 'Save Changes.' Step 3B. If not checked, go to "Change settings that are currently unavailable," select Hibernate, and click 'Save Changes.' The app will close prompting you to repeat Steps 1, 2, and 3A. You can also complete this via the control panel, though I find the method more convenient.
What is meant by "After activating hibernation did you do a Shutdown or a Reboot?" It asks whether you performed a shutdown or a reboot after starting hibernation. Clarifying your actions during that process.
