Are there any drops in performance? What's your FPS? In game settings? Valorant isn't very tough on resources, so it should work well with your hardware unless you run into problems.

Do you have your FPS limits set? Would it work to cap it at 200? Are you using a G-Sync display?

Adjusting the polling rate from 1000 to 500 times per second helped reduce frame drops, though I’m still getting around 80-100 fps.

I've never experienced this problem before, but I did run Valorant on a GTX 980 with maximum settings. I consistently achieved around 165 fps, though the GPU and CPU usage were healthy. I'm not sure why the drops occur—I might need to look deeper to provide a clearer solution.
