I've been operating my PC for about a year with mostly stable performance. Recently, while running demanding games, my fans spin very loudly and after a short time I lose all screen visibility but the fans keep working. Only a forced shutdown via the CPU case stops it, then I can restart the system. I'm unsure if this is due to overheating or something else. I've unplugged the GPU, cleaned the fans, and put them back in—this helped temporarily, though the issue returned soon after. My graphics drivers are current, and I've reinstalled them using DDU. My GPU is an RTX 3070 with a Dark! Rock Pro 4 cooler for my CPU, which is an Intel i7 13700k. Any advice would be appreciated!

The temperatures during play are typical, with GPU readings tracked via HWMonitor. When the GPU hits its heat threshold, it shuts down and spins up fans. High load issues may indicate the thermal paste has dried and needs replacement.

Under stress, the GPU reaches roughly 81-83°C as seen in the task manager.

It's quite warm for a 3070. You might want to swap out the thermal paste if you're okay with accessing the component.
