When is SIMS 5 going to release? I am waiting for it for a year.
There isn’t a fixed schedule or date established just yet. However, it seems unlikely the game will launch before 2024. For context, both Sims 3 and Sims 4 were released during the summer, with all four main entries in the series appearing roughly five years apart. Since we’ve moved well past that period, predicting an exact release year is difficult. Unless EA has a major surprise on the horizon, a possible early summer 2024 date would be ideal. Still, there’s enough time for Maxis to unveil details about Sims 5, possibly in 2025. As 'Project Rene' is still in development, the team may gradually share more about it.
Nope, I don't believe so. The developers won't take much longer to finish the project. The game is being designed with current-gen consoles in mind, specifically the PS5 and XBOX Series X. Considering the seven-year gap between the PlayStation 4's release in 2013 and the PlayStation 5 in 2020, we can expect the PlayStation 6 not before late 2026 or early 2027 at the very least.
Based on this, it seems unlikely the game will be released much sooner. However, the timing for SIMS 5 appears more certain because it will initially launch on PC first. As for the PS6, the situation remains unclear and there are many conflicting reports at the moment.
