The PC ports on my system aren’t performing well when trying to connect to my 75-inch 4K 60Hz HDR10+ monitor. I considered a liquid cooler but went with an air cooler just because it was cheaper. A high-speed RAM upgrade seems more important to me. I picked the X870 board mainly for its built-in Wi-Fi 7 capability. It’s tough to install a vertical GPU mount and can’t run a full PCIe adapter or add in half-height cards. This specific board also blocks PCIe slot 2 if you use a M.2 slot, which might be an issue down the line. With the wired setup, relocating the modem isn’t easy, and I don’t want to risk tripping over my mom’s wheelchair or getting in my wheelchair wheels. I’ll need to use cable clips along the base boards and around door frames. I’m planning a 75-foot run from the modem to an 8-port network switch in my room—it should cover everything: my main gaming PC tower, a backup gaming laptop for chatting, PS5 Disk Fat, Xbox One S, Smart TV/Monitor, and my Onkyo TX-NR6100 receiver.
