I have two systems with different motherboards—Intel Asus Maximus Hero and AMD Asus Dark Hero. When installing drivers for my Asus motherboard, I sometimes encounter two installer options: the Asus setup or the standard setup. Both are available as EXE files. In the past, using the Asus setup for audio installation didn’t work well, so I now usually go with the normal setup EXE. My new motherboards are the Asus Dark Hero and Maximus 12, so I’m trying to figure out which installer to use.

regardless of the method chosen, both versions install identically with no variation between them.
