When I start the B06 multiplayer mode, the fan reaches its highest speed.
Hi guys ive just built my new pc, ive freshly installed windows, and updated my drivers for the gpu and cpu but now whenever i load into the multiplayer section of black ops 6 the fan immediately turns on to what seems like 100%, i haven't played any other games on it as yet so cant say if its happening it any other games, the only other weird thing its been doing in every now and then when its idling till suddenly just ramp up the fan speed a little bit then chill back down, i had a look when it did this in task manager and there was a spike in the copy graph on the gpu page, any help would be greatly appreciated
Set up installation of MSI afterburner, monitor temperatures while playing. Consider updating the GPU driver and performing a clean install of a reputable software directly from AMD's site after disconnecting the internet to avoid automatic Windows updates.
Hey there! Here are your specs along with some photos of the interior to verify airflow. Start the software, check the readings, and see what temperatures we're seeing.
Hello, here are the details: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5 board paired with AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-core chip. Also included is the Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 7700 XT 12 GB video card and Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB DDR5-6000 memory (2 x 16 GB). The power supply is a quiet 12 M 850 W 80+ Gold certified fully modular ATX unit. The CPU cooler is a pure loop 2 FX Liquid model with 41.51 CFM and 120 mm fans, using Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives. I've attached a screenshot of the monitor.
I installed the AMD Adrenaline software with the game view enabled. It displayed a maximum temperature of 52 degrees. I also downloaded the newest drivers, ran some tests, and removed the software. After deleting it, the fans stopped spinning during multiplayer, though some graphics still looked off. It’s possible the issue is with the driver itself.
Dear holy lord, that's impressive. Your entire area looks great. I truly believe you put together a Battlestation post somewhere first. Yes, you really have to DDU – it's frustrating but necessary to remove drivers from the issue. Second, is that screenshot taken during a gaming session? If yes, there seems to be something off. If not, and DDU doesn't resolve it, we definitely need that information. Third, using FanControl could be helpful, allowing you to customize your own fan curves.
Thanks for the input, I tried using DDU to remove and reinstall the drivers, but the issue kept happening. I dug a bit further and discovered the fans weren’t turning on until temperatures reached around 50 degrees. Once that point was hit, the fan curve adjusted to about 70% speed, which made a big difference and improved things significantly.
