I increased my RAM from 16 to 32GB this morning. My PC started crashing during games. Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 2x16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz is the model I’m referring to. I verified the installation a few times and confirmed it was set up properly. I checked the BIOS and changed the AI TWEAKER setting to auto, which was previously on D.O.C.P. The crashes stopped temporarily but memory remained locked at 2166. If I bought 3600MHz RAM, would I really need to use all of it? My motherboard and CPU seem capable, so why not? PC specs: Motherboard – TUF GAMING B-450 Plus, CPU – Ryzen 5 3600, GPU – RX 580, 8GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 2x16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz. This was my first RAM installation and I don’t have much experience, but I suspect the issue might be voltage or BIOS settings. My PC is three years old and I haven’t updated the BIOS. Yes, this method is generally safe and should not cause issues with your PC. Downloading the update onto a USB drive and installing it via BIOS is a common and reliable way to apply updates. Just ensure your system meets the requirements beforehand.

It's safe to perform a UEFI update, but avoid any interruptions or power disconnections; otherwise, it could get corrupted and damage the motherboard. Adding the timing settings to your new RAM is recommended. An R5 3600 might not work well with a CL16 setup, so consider matching the timings of a CL18 model instead.

Ensure the system remains safe by confirming it matches the right version and you have a stable power supply during the process. Otherwise, the BIOS could fail and the motherboard may stop working. Transfer the device to a USB drive and boot from there using BIOS settings. Check your manual for flashing procedures (Agall's steps are recommended first).
