When do call your OC stable?
For those selecting one hour or less, which stress tests are executed?
It seems the midpoint is around 10 hours, with nearly half above and half below that amount.
The time required to run OCCT for stability checks is comparable to Prime95, typically taking similar durations.
Many people claim intelburntest is faster at spotting issues. However, I've repeatedly run burntest for around 8 minutes (ten times a 2GB test) and it worked just fine, only needing to open prime95 to catch a rounding error within five minutes.
My most sensitive core tends to fail first each time, which seems a bit odd.
I believe an 8-hour test in prime95 would be sufficient, though this is more based on intuition than concrete data.
