I suggest keeping everything in bios as auto since AMD overdrive works well. I use the AMD program to boost both clock speeds and voltage for the APU. When you increase the clock, you must also raise the voltage. My CPU runs at 4.3Ghz with 1.35V, and my GPU at 1Ghz with 1.45V. Up to now I’ve reached around 65°C while playing NFS at a steady 30FPS. I’m using the stock cooler with the original paste, 8GB 1866 CL9 dual channel RAM, and everything is performing nicely! Really enjoying the A6!
Hey, I'm facing a similar issue with my APU. I'm trying to reach 4.7 GHz on my A6 7400 Black Edition, but the highest I've managed is 4.4 GHz. I've tweaked the voltage several times using AMD overdrive, but the autoclock isn't working. I have a Gigabyte motherboard and think adjusting the voltage in the BIOS might help. Anyone have any advice to help me hit this target like the original poster?
