I've tried a few settings myself, and the best setup was capping the clock speed around 3-3.5ghz while using the lowest possible voltage. This approach saves power when loads are light since the cores don't reach high speeds where they're inefficient. If you prefer not to go that far, just set the offset until it hits stability limits. You can also reduce maximum power consumption by adjusting turbo boost settings. If a test isn't stable, consider boosting the voltage. It's not guaranteed, but it depends on what the servers need, but I'd aim to prevent any issues.

I mainly use MCE with all its power-saving options turned on. I don’t want any undervolt issues because I need consistent performance around the clock. MCE mainly impacts power use during high load, which is useful when the server is active but not when it’s idle.
