My computer functions well until a game is loaded. At that point it stops completely, needing a power reset from the power supply. After booting, everything seems normal until I attempt to load another game. My current parts include a Seasonic 850w power supply, which is several years old—possibly around ten years. I upgraded to a Ryzen 7000 ZEN 4 7900X now. The motherboard is an ASUS X670E with WiFi support. I have 64gb of RAM and an EVGA RTX 3080 graphics card. Do I require a more powerful power supply? I suspect so, as everything runs fine otherwise.

I am also using two high-capacity hard drives, each about 14TB, along with a few smaller HDs.

Which seasoning does PSU exactly?
Did you connect all power cables?
Update the BIOS of the motherboard
Eventually the GPU's vBios as well
Are all drivers up to date?
Can you try running userbenchmark and post the link of the result?

My power supply is a Seasonic 850w X Series 80+ Gold. All power cables are in good condition. Drivers are current, GPU bios are up to date. I haven't changed the mobo bios since everything functions properly except during game loading.

The X series is quite outdated, it's time for an update.

I support Dark Lord's view. Has it functioned properly after you updated your system in any game? Or did you create a new system and the first game you played caused the computer to shut down? Have you even considered re-seating your 3060 GPU and then reconnecting your PCI-E power cables to the card? Also, I think you're overdue for a fresh power supply.

Games performed adequately with my prior setup. The system includes a Ryzen 7 5800X, an EVGA 1080TI, and 32GB of RAM. There were no problems. It seems the increased power demands of the new GPU and CPU might be the reason.
