Hi All, *updated title and info below after further testing* So my system has started hard crashing (no BSOD, just straight black and back to mobo flash screen). Checked the event log and it seems to be attributed to the following error type: A fatal hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 8 The details view of this entry contains further information. Does this mean my CPU is goosed?! My PC has been rock solid for months, and this error seems to happen when I run an intensive game, i.e. CP2077, however I have hours in this game over recent months and never had a single crash issue. I now can't seem to play anything intensive without it crashing? CB2077 crashes within 1min of loading into the game proper. The issue is 100% repeatable for this particular game and issue. System specs are: X570 Strix-e 5800x 6950XT Red Devil 2*1TB WD SN770 m.2 Seasonic Focus 850W Full custom loop, temps are NOT the issue here. I can run furmark no issues so not a gpu problem. I can run Cinebench r23 no problem so is this a combined gaming load issue, or a steam programme issue (I noticed steam updated between me running fine and not?) Other things I've just tried since it started happening: - Installed latest AMD drivers (released this week) - Installed and checked windows is up to date (I'm running W11) - Validated game files on CB2077 (confirmed 100%) - Windows defender scan picks up no issues Any ideas at all? Pretty bummed as this kinda renders my gaming PC redundant until I fix... Any help much appreciated

Appeared in bios and 3.3v rail with red at 2.9v, also showing 2.8-2.9v in Windows HWInfo. Might be PSU issue.

Final decision to conclude this setup. Every path pointed toward PSU. I removed the cable extension just to clear it and connected the standard cable directly to 24pin. Immediately, the system returned to 3.3v in BIOS with no more crashes as before. The extension likely failed—being several years old and used in multiple setups—or it was bent and stretched too often.
