You're familiar with it and appreciate it. Source Engine has shaped some of the most beloved games, making it a classic. What game do you enjoy most from Source? It could be original titles or the later entries like Portal or Half-Life!

Half Life 2 and the two episodes are definitely my top picks, though Garry's Mod is just ahead of them!

Gmod is also excellent! Keep in mind that its simplest items resemble those from HL2, and some game files are almost the same as in HL2!

Yes, Gmod incorporates elements from other Source titles. The more Source games you owned, the stronger Gmod became.

I enjoy Gary's mod but modern GMod feels a bit outdated. 2008-2010 Gmod offered more flexibility, letting you play on servers. Portal 2 is really enjoyable. Counter-Strike provides a solid strategic experience with friends. It's similar to asking about your favorite classic movie—everyone loves them, but what stands out is personal preference.

It's really limited what options exist, as Valve hasn't made it a practical choice for indie developers without paying significant fees for extra middleware. It's not an internal tool, yet it lacks the flexibility and accessibility of Unreal. To defy the trend, since everyone will inevitably reference one of Valve's titles, I'll mention Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines and The Stanley Parable (the original version before Unity porting).
