There isn't anything like 1.3.0 to go to the website and download the real deal. The only advantage of the official version is the bios. Let me know if you need them.
All versions except 1.3 are just dev builds, and 1.4 will be the first official standalone update.
Hey, the older PCSX2 version struggled with God of War and had poor frame rates. Check the official site, install the newest stable release, or for a challenge, try the latest nightly build.
The only issue is that you're not playing Dragon Quest VIII! I have a PS2 in the closet just for this game.
