Verify your graphics configurations, lower them slightly to observe the effect. Use the command :max_fps 60 in the console to confirm you didn’t unintentionally limit your framerate inside the game. Update all drivers via GeForce Experience and consider enabling their optimization options.
all drivers are current, v-sync is disabled on my system with a 700 watt power supply if that matters, and my motherboard is an AM1 chipset so upgrades aren't possible there. I have an EVGA GXT 750 Ti crossbar memory. If upgrading is necessary, I’d need about $100.
I've tested almost every graphics setting combination, and the best performance is achieved at the highest possible FPS. I have the newest drivers installed, but since I'm on Linux, I can't use GeForce Experience.
With a budget of $100, choose the option that fits better. You can sell your mobo and 5350 for around $50 to reach the target. Here are the recommended picks:
- CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core ($102.99 from SuperBiiz)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1150 ($41.98 from Newegg)
- Grand total: $144.97 (includes shipping, taxes, and discounts)
Alternatively, if you prefer a lower price:
- CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core ($64.99 from NCIX US)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1150 ($41.98 from Newegg)
- Grand total: $106.97 (also includes shipping, taxes, and discounts)
Are there options available on the red side? Also, when you bought the CU and MBO combo for around $50, what did you think of it?
