Whats wrong with my Battlefront
Watched Star Wars Battlefront last night... Everything seemed okay at first. Download took a couple hours and started smoothly. Framerate was low around 28fps, with noticeable lag every few seconds. I increased settings to medium, then lowered them again. Changed rendering quality to half. Now the visuals look like old games from 2006. It makes me think my internet might be the issue. With Comcast on Ethernet, ping readings are usually 50-90ms. Why would a game feel so slow? I’m not sure if it’s lag or something else.
Battlefront runs smoothly even with a 750Ti, though it may not be the fastest card available. Consider upgrading your CPU—it could significantly slow performance in certain scenarios. Check both GPU and CPU activity during low settings. If the CPU stays at full capacity while the GPU remains idle, you likely have a CPU bottleneck.

You were correct about downloading the CAM tool. The GPU performance hovered between 49% and 56%, while the CPU stayed above 85%. Despite the label suggesting a 4GHz overclock, I kept it at 3.2GHz since I rarely used that speed for games. I tried pushing it to 4GHz in Overdrive mode, which briefly improved performance for about 30 seconds with minimal lag. However, when an RPG was launched directly at me, the system crashed and took roughly five minutes to report errors before shutting down. I’m planning to wait for a Zen update before committing to a new CPU. Battlefront will remain in my library until then.
It's nice to assist! I don't remember Battlefront being very demanding on the CPU, but with your processor in the lower range, it might limit your 750Ti performance in many games. If you're not ready for the Zen architecture upgrade, consider budget FX-6350 chips or something similar like i5-4670. Avoid high-end CPUs if you don't intend to upgrade soon—they won't make a noticeable difference for gaming.
I also own a 750ti on another machine, it works just fine at 1080p for gaming, though upgrading the CPU is definitely recommended.
