Hey everyone! I recently assembled a PC using a custom Corsair waterloop (AGESA 1.0.0.5) motherboard with a Ryzen 7950X3D and a G-Skill 6000mhz CL30 (2 x 32gb). The nVidia 3080Ti is running fine for my requirements, but it doesn’t match the Cinebench results others are achieving. My multi-core Cinebench R23 score is 35,677, while some users report higher numbers like 36,284, 37,973, and 38,351. It looks like my chip might be lagging behind. I’ve turned on EXPO 2 and PBO without adjusting anything. Am I facing a slow processor, or should I check other factors to boost the score? Also, I know the X3D is tricky for overclocking, but I’m not focused on that right now.

These results show only small percentage gains, with 38351 just above 7%. That falls within the typical range when comparing various yields and systems.

Utilize your water cooling setup effectively, adjust your PBO and Curve optimizer settings.

Up until now I've spent a lot of time trying to mine, and finally got the 3D v-cache optimization driver installed. It seems best to set the cache in UEFI. Followed the PBO manual, adjusted the curve optimizer to -10. Experimented with different processor affinity settings for various apps before and after installing the driver. The driver appears to be functioning perfectly. I haven't tried turning off CCD1 yet; I was hoping to gather more information on boost clocks for CCD0 first. My core consistently reached around 4.7GHz on Cinebench R23, which might help. A 5.45GHz CCD0 and up to 6GHz CCD1 (depends on the application), but I'm wondering if disabling CCD1 with my current PBO settings could push me beyond 5.5GHz. My maximum draw has been around 152W during Cinebench R23, though I've seen higher values outside of that test. CCD1 boosts quite a bit, similar to the standard setup for a 7950x CCD, which is good. I only ran Cinebench a few times and it was in the 35k range. I'm using a Corsair Vengeance 6000MHz 36-36-36-76 kit on an x670e AORUS Master EATX board.

You obtain it from the core settings, achieving a stable curve of -20 and a maximum boost frequency of +150 MHz. Current results show around 37.5k in Cinebench.

The main chipset manager came from AMD's site, and I had to reinstall it multiple times before the '3d v-cache optimizer' appeared. Once installed, it showed up as a system device in Device Manager afterward. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D review – Best of Both Worlds | TechPowerUp The initial setup was aimed at including this driver. I tried various CCD settings, even down to 2c/4t, but didn’t reach -10 on the curve optimizer. I wondered if the 3D CCD could push past 5.55GHz with fewer cores, though it seemed to cap around 6c/12t instead.

For enthusiasts of the 7800x3D, a 7950x3D setup without CCD1 active reached 5.55GHz across all cores while gaming, though full multicore speed stayed at 4.8GHz.

Your main performance boost came from a 35kHz frequency across all cores.

Deleted. Didn't recognize it as a 3D chip. Regards.
