I am not so sure they make a "female" fiber cable. What you generally use a small coupler that lets you connect 2 cables together. They are just simple plastic things that keep the fiber aligned. This is a example. Note the color does not matter so much this is only plastic clip that holds the fibers together. Amazon.com Note even though you can plug a SC/APC in one side and a SC/UPC in the other it will not work....well it will mostly work just with some signal loss. So if you need to change both the fiber connection type and the way it is cut you will likely need a some different couplers and small patch cable. A company may sell that as a kit but I have not spend any time looking for it.
