I have a problem because I need to put in a new WiFi modem today before I can't use my internet. The company gave me a bad cable, so I must get a different one by the end of the day. I need a cable that fits into the green socket and connects to the blue plug at the other side. What is this called? How do I find it?

My new router is an Icotera i6855-00. I want to plug in the blue wire from my phone line, but it only takes a green one. Basically, my internet provider forgot to give me a switch or adapter right this second and they stopped providing service today. What should I get? I have no clue what these little plugs do 🙁

Those are cable for internet. If your company stops giving service right now, what's the rush to get it back on line?

My apartment's internet company keeps switching up, so I'm using a brand-new provider who gave me a cable that doesn't plug into the old blue one sitting there.

The one labeled "RGD1101" might actually be the better option.

No, that's not what I need. I want a cable where the green part matches what you showed me, but instead of just ending there, I need the other side to have a connector that fits with a blue cable. If there is one, it would be easier if there was a simple adapter for going from blue to green, so I could connect those two colors together on that cable.

I guess my computer won't let me see that picture from imgur right now, but if I just look up the part number it might work. The fiber strand itself is basically just one of those normal single-mode fibers you usually find everywhere. But the ends are trickier to connect and the color on the connector tells us how the fiber was cut, not how big the connection is. Those two connectors in the picture are LC and SC. They can come with a blue or green label that means APC or UPC, which I think helps decide what cable you need. There are about sixteen different combos for these parts so learning what those letters mean will help you buy the right cable later on.

Thanks! I'm sure you need it right now. You want a female cable or adapter that goes from an LC/UPC connector to a SC/APC connector, and you can add your own male end too. Can you find one with quick shipping in the UK? Amazon doesn't seem to have this exact combo on fast delivery.
