I recently upgraded my setup and got a compatible motherboard for my new i9-9900KF (still unfamiliar with it). I have an RTX3070TI GALAX edition with two 24GB DDR4 RAM sticks at 2133MHZ and a 3440x1440 monitor. Previously, with the i7 7700, I achieved 60-90fps on high settings and 80fps ultra on BF2042. Now I’m seeing 14-20fps on low settings. After reinstalling Windows, updating BIOS, and re-installing drivers, I’ve checked the temperatures—CPU is hot but the AIO cooler keeps it under control. I’m unsure what to do next and would really appreciate any advice. Thanks.

No system with 7700 capabilities can run 9900Kf unless you make changes. How intense is that?

I’ve got a 16GB and an 8GB RAM stick, and I’ve installed them one at a time without any issues. The CPU temperatures stay around 45 degrees even with a new board that supports the 9900KF.

I went through it again and it still felt the same, wasn't that a lot of help after all?

Yes, I replaced the motherboard and needed to detach the GPU. Remembered to connect the power cable for it.
