The L22D4PE1 and L22M4PE1 batteries work well with my Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G7 IML laptop, though there are differences between them. It’s not a big deal.

There are actually three options available. You seem to be missing L22C4PE1. It appears all three share the same battery type but differ in part numbers. For example:

The reason for three variants might be regional differences—possibly one for North and South America, another for Europe/Africa, and a third for Asia/Oceania.
