V-Sync stops tears from forming, yet when your frame rate falls, stuttering becomes clearer. Disabling V-Sync and applying a frame rate limiter could lead to tearing.

I adjusted the FPS setting in nvida inspector to 144.4, but serious sam 3 still caps at 135 FPS despite reaching above 200 FPS on survival maps I tried earlier.
