Explore various Linux distributions to find the best fit. Besides Kali Linux, other strong options include Ubuntu, Fedora, and Debian. These are popular choices for different needs without needing a Windows replacement.

For a linux newbee id suggest ubuntu. Most support from the community and packages. Kali is just a lot of secuirty packages, you can always put install them on ubuntu if you want.

Most people rely on a command line interface. The simplest way to begin is with Ubuntu or Mint.

I'm still getting the hang of this. Ubuntu seemed simpler to find help for. Fedora, Debian, and Mint are just as straightforward too. I think Ubuntu really stands out as the best choice for new users in the US.

I enjoy Lubuntu, Mint, and any Ubuntu version. Slackware is also enjoyable.

For a simple setup, Ubuntu, Lubuntu, and Linux Mint work well. Server editions of Ubuntu are available without a graphical interface, encouraging command-line use. A virtual machine tool such as VirtualBox is also suggested.

Ubuntu works well. The majority of Linux distributions I encounter online are designed around it.

Consider using Linux Mint for beginners, BlackArch Linux for advanced users, or Parabolla for a completely free and open-source experience.

You're also on Ubuntu, which works well. Using a Raspberry Pi lets you run projects locally through the terminal, offering flexibility and hands-on learning without needing a full computer setup.
