I’m looking to improve my PC performance. I mainly play War Thunder and sometimes Pavlov VR, which usually gives me around 70-50 FPS. I’m trying to figure out where the bottleneck is—whether it’s my CPU, GPU, cooling system, or something else. With about $500 to spend, I want the most value. Should I focus on upgrading the CPU, GPU, cooler, or maybe the motherboard? Also, since my room gets warm from the computer, I’m curious if an AIO water cooler would help reduce heat in the space. Let me know your thoughts!

I’d prefer a better SSD. Your CPU and GPU are sufficient right now, and you can upgrade later when the 3000 series is released. I wouldn’t choose an AIO system; instead, I’d opt for a solid air cooler and possibly additional fans if your current ones aren’t ideal.

I don’t understand those games well. To spot unevenness, use a CPU/GPU meter to see if one component is under heavy load while the other runs lightly. Heat in joules is just that—joules. Swapping cooler types won’t help with room heat. Some people try custom setups with long hoses outside both the case and the building, but it’s not worth the effort.
