I was checking an older computer setup and discovered something unusual. The PC is linked to WiFi, yet it seems to lack a dedicated WiFi motherboard or card. I didn’t open it up, so perhaps my assumption is incorrect. Could it be receiving WiFi through the Dell 2005fpw device connected nearby, or might it have a very weak or faulty antenna adapter?

Confirm if it includes a WiFi card. Check the Device Manager for any network adapters.

Are you certain it's using WiFi instead of an Ethernet cable?

Several personal computers from original equipment manufacturers include the antenna integrated into the frame, a typical feature in many Dell and HP desktop models with Wi-Fi capabilities.

This could be a beneficial approach.

This aligns with what I've observed in other systems I've disassembled.
