Game updates are being installed... occasional issues include: combat shutdowns during setup, difficulty accessing the menu; and “graphics processing error” errors.

The computer’s central processing unit is an AMD Ryzen 5 2600. Memory consists of two 8GB sticks of G-Skill Ripjaw RAM. A GeForce 1660 graphics card is utilized, and the motherboard is a ROG Strix B450-F Gaming model. Storage includes a 250GB Kingston SSD. Power is supplied by a Corsair 650W power supply unit. Despite all components operating correctly, game performance is frequently disrupted; games typically freeze during the initial menu loading phase, followed by a crash approximately 10 to 20 seconds later.

Focus solely on gaming.
What Corsair power supply is suitable?
I’d like to assess the problem by running several performance tests and examining the GPU, as it appears to be the source of the crashes. Let’s see if putting stress on the graphics card in a Linux environment triggers these issues.
To test this, I’ll boot from a USB drive containing a Linux operating system. Obtain a USB drive, download Rufus, and find a Linux distribution at http://distrowatch.com/. I prefer Linux Mint with Cinnamon: https://rufus.ie/
Use Rufus to copy the downloaded ISO file onto the USB drive; this will make it bootable, allowing you to run Linux from the drive after completion.
Once in Linux, begin testing your hardware components. Connect to a network and simultaneously stream numerous YouTube videos, observing any signs of instability.
If Linux runs smoothly and reliably, the problem is probably located within Windows or linked to software issues.
This process is intended to evaluate your hardware’s performance.
