I recently purchased this computer, and it functions adequately, however, I’m experiencing significantly reduced frame rates – consistently below 60 frames per second in numerous games. I observed a YouTube video demonstrating that someone with identical hardware achieved substantially higher frame rates, exceeding 100 fps on the same settings while playing titles like Fortnite, Steel Circus, PUBG, and Apex Legends. I’m concerned about the low performance of my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card and AMD Ryzen 7 2700 processor. Could you please advise me on the possible causes of this issue? Thank you for your assistance.

Given that this product was bought, you have a limited number of choices. You may reach out to ABS or Newegg – whichever company manages the warranty for these items. Alternatively, you could attempt to repair it yourself: 1. Disconnect the casing while the machine is active and then power down. 2. Test by placing a finger on the CPU heatsink; if it’s excessively warm, the cooling fan settings may be misconfigured. Restart your PC and confirm that the CPU fan is functioning. 3. If the heatsink remains cool, it probably isn’t making proper contact with the CPU. To rectify this, you'll need to apply thermal paste and reattach the cooler. I suggest looking online for guidance on installing the heatsink that came with your CPU – although many users likely have experience with this...

I currently possess an AOC 2590G4 monitor. At present, it’s configured to a refresh rate of 120Hz, though it is capable of reaching 144Hz.

Verify your graphics card drivers are current by visiting https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx. Also, confirm that your system memory is operating at the intended speed; enabling XMP in your computer's BIOS settings will help ensure it runs at 3000MHz.

Access the Nvidia settings by opening the control panel and verify your display resolution aligns with your monitor’s specifications. Additionally, could you specify which BIOS version you are currently utilizing on the motherboard? Numerous software updates have been released for recent generations of CPUs.

Let’s check to see if this improves your frame rate performance. The BIOS version can be found when you initially power on your computer by pressing F2 or the Delete key. This will open the BIOS screen, and you should see the version number in the upper left-hand corner.
