I believe 3600 cl16 is a stronger option since Ryzen doesn't gain much from such high clockspeeds; tighter timings would align better with its design. Alternatively, you could opt for the 4000mHz dims and lower them with more precise timing, potentially achieving a match with 3600 cl16.

Perhaps I’ll try it. Thanks. However, I’ve learned AMD doesn’t gain much advantage from MHz when it comes to CAS latency.

I'm not very familiar with RAM specs, but I don't think this model can go lower than CL16 even if it's priced higher. Going for a faster option like 3600MHz would be better.

Aim for the 4000 model. It’s safe to lower the clock speed to 3600 and improve the timing to a minimum of C16. For $25 savings, it’s a much better option.

We don't have enough details about the kits to be certain. If the 4000CL18 is a Hynix CJR kit, it will perform better but won't offer the most precise timings. For the 3600CL16 kit being Samsunb b-die, opt for it over the Hynix CJR since it's more likely to provide tighter timing specs and avoid slower 4000MHz RAM speeds. If you're chasing the absolute top speed, prioritize the fastest IF (Infinity Fabric) performance on the CPU as well. This usually means you can't exceed around 3800MHz, with 3733MHz being a common target. Keep in mind that many users find it hard to reach a stable 1900MHz IF, so I'm just mentioning it for reference.
