Hello, I've posted multiple posts about this problem but I am still not sure what to do? I am going to explain whats wrong: I have built a gamepc myself. I built this to play heavy games. Like BTF1, but also new games like Battlefront II and Red Dead Redemption II. I am going to list all my parts below: - 8 Gigabytes of RAM 2400MHZ (another 8 GB is coming.(Hopefully tomorrow)) - I5 7600K 3,8 GHZ (A lot of people told me this is a bottleneck for my GTX 1080) - KFA2 GTX 1080 EXOC (I don't know why it says EXOC but it's not Overclocked) - Asus Strix Z270H - WD Blue 500GB SSD - 650W PSU Coolermaster I think I got all the parts now....? What is the problem? Well I am getting (for a GTX 1080) Really low FPS in games like BTF1 or Paladins. Actually all games are not getting the FPS they should have. As I mentioned In all my other posts. I don't know what this causes. I really want to know what's the problem. I game at 1920x1080. Both my CPU and GPU are at a 100% usage (This isn't normal right?). I reinstalled my GPU drivers multiple times. I also reset my windows once (with keeping all my files). Things I didn't try: - Adding a additional RAM stick (I ordered on Amazon it should be delivered by tomorrow) - Reinstalling using DDU and Windows in Safemode - Overclocking my CPU and RAM (I am not sure how to do this. And I think it's not good for the parts) I already have a I7 7700k on the eye. But I don't want to buy/replace something that isn't causing the problem. I don't care what it costs me or what to do I just want to fix this problem. (Please do not post things like: start over ) If someone knows what the problem is or how to fix this... PLEASE TELL ME! I really want to just game at the FPS the 1080 should easily get! (on ULTRA settings) If you want to contact met on Discord please don't hesitate! name: BattlePants #5832 I also have some photo's below here ↓ This is while playing GHOST RECON: WILDLANDS (When the graph lowers I am out of the game than my CPU and GPU aren't at 100%)

Have you checked if reinstalling Windows resolves any software problems affecting performance?

I performed a reset while preserving my files. No full Windows reinstall was done yet. Regarding your questions: CPU and GPU bottlenecks refer to performance limits where one component slows down the overall system, affecting refresh rates and graphical output.

Are there any processes active in the background? How to activate XMP mode for RAM in the BIOS settings?

I’d definitely improve things with DDU and update the drivers. The CPU usage is around 100% during games, though it shouldn’t stay constant at that level. Your current setup should work fine, but the CPU and 8GB RAM might be contributing to the issue.

Check the task manager for any games running at full capacity or other programs consuming resources

Consider a full system reset to resolve the problem. If possible, lower game settings first and observe the outcome. It probably won’t be significant if there’s just one stick of RAM.

It seems like you're trying to decide what to say about your setup. Your system looks solid with that i7-6700HQ and enough RAM, and it's handling BF1 without issues. A fresh Windows install might be a good idea, and using an Ethernet cable could improve speeds if you haven't already.

You're asking if it's feasible to run Discord and Spotify simultaneously with background audio.

It's operating at 90-100% capacity.
