I believe it would be intriguing to imagine what a post-fallout... fallout experience might be. What kind of world emerges when humans cease conflict and begin rebuilding civilization? If super mutants eventually prevail, what would the aftermath be? Grunts for the ongoing struggle between factions?

Who do you think would ultimately emerge victorious (without the lone survivor)? Should synths be seen as a threat? Or are they considered equals? Or perhaps slaves? What if the Brotherhood succeeds?

I think a scenario where each faction has firmly established itself in its territory, then engages in constant warfare, would be compelling. Not just isolated settlements, but centuries of city development and expansion.

Personally, I believe the Institute would ultimately prevail. They are the only entities actively advancing technology. The Brotherhood, though powerful, is focused on maintaining the status quo, fearing change. They’ll eventually run out of power armor and outdated tech to exploit. The Minutemen, meanwhile, seem like a minor nuisance—just a bug under the heel of massive corporations.

Regarding synths? That’s a thought-provoking idea. In an ideal post-apocalyptic universe, the existing synthetic creations would likely be treated as equals. No new ones would be produced because creating them would feel like playing god. Even if there was a compelling reason, I doubt it would be ethical to design sentient beings solely for specific tasks. The game suggests that Gen 3 synths are indistinguishable from humans even after dissection, implying uniformity in their biology. This could lead to a "body farm" where wealthy individuals store young organs for transplantation when their own deteriorate.

I’m curious whether the fallout genre would ever take this direction and craft a game that doesn’t reflect a post-apocalyptic setting—at least not directly.

The summary presents a thoughtful perspective on the multiple endings in Overwatch, questioning their impact on the narrative structure and suggesting a preference for one specific conclusion.

Merely follow the unclear "the *insert losing faction here* was expelled from the commonwealth while the *insert winning faction here* prospered, though the *insert losing faction here* will return for retribution."

Have you ever played Fallout: New Vegas?
It's about the aftermath of the apocalypse.
Society is coming back to normal.
