Jesal Patel shared his setup details: gigabyte x370 gaming k7, lepa aqua changer 240mm liquid cooler, evga g2 1000w psu. He asked about the stable peak clocks for r5 1600x and r7 1800x, noting that 1800x isn't worth it, with only a chance to reach 4ghz top speed, while his 1700 model offers 3.9ghz overclocked at $200 less.

Regardless of the Ryzen model, boosting to 4GHz remains an uncertain outcome due to the unpredictable nature of silicon performance.
