I'm facing a bottleneck with my FX8350 / AMD3+ because I play in 1440p. My plan is to upgrade to the Z270 GAMING M5, i5-6600K. I'm not sure about the memory speed for the RAM, so I need to know the maximum I can choose for this CPU/motherboard.

You've discovered the motherboard is compatible with a Kaby Lake CPU, and you're considering whether an Intel Core i5-7600K would be a good fit within the same price range.

This model is suitable for gaming purposes, so higher speeds aren't necessary.

These modules are an excellent selection, with Gskill being one of the top options.
