Upon re-evaluation, it seems unrelated to AGP or PCI-X. The overall dimensions and configuration are present, but the final segment should be split into three parts instead of two.

apparently, PCIe isn't available on the Pentium 4 I checked. I was curious to see if I could connect an RTX 2070S to my system just for fun. Maybe I was mistaken.

PCI - X stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect eXtended, a standard that boosts the 32-bit PCI local bus for increased bandwidth needed by servers and workstations. It was replaced by: PCI Express (2004) Width in bits: 64. Developed by IBM, HP, and Compaq Speed: 1064 MB/s. This technology enhances data transfer rates beyond what traditional PCI could offer. It is mainly found in server mainboards. The highest clock speed for a PCI-X slot is 133 MHz, and it only supports 3.3V signals. Yet, the PCI-X standard works backward with older 3.3V PCI specifications, allowing compatible cards up to 66 MHz. All current Meinberg PCI cards meet these criteria, so they fit in PCI-X slots. But 5V-only cards cannot be used. If a regular PCI card is placed in a PCI-X slot, the connected slots’ speed drops to what the add-in supports. Newer PCI-X cards offer faster transfers, but wiring limits mean only two slots can share a bus at once. This usually impacts just one adjacent slot, leaving others unaffected. The motherboard manual should clarify which slots belong together on a single bus.

They were both Dell sizes. One measured 2400, the other 4600. The first had an LGA socket, while the second wasn't specified.

the cpus lacked pci, agp, or pcie built-in, the setup depended on the chipset. A few supported pcie for the pentium 4, others used agp, and some boards offered both. I've tested rx480s and similar models on pentium 4 systems—they functioned, though not reliably for 32bit drives on Windows (better on Linux).
