Hello,
I recently assembled a new PC for my wife and encountered a few problems.

Components included:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB
- Gigabyte B650 AERO G ATX AM5
- G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
- Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe4.0 X4 NVME
- Gigabyte AERO OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super
- Corsair RM850x SHIFT 850W
- Windows 11

There are two main issues that might be connected:
The NZXT CAM software leads to black screens – the first monitor freezes, then the LCD on the Kraken freezes and eventually the monitor screen goes dark. When the software is turned off, the system becomes stable.
Shutting down forcefully causes the computer to boot into a black screen with no BIOS access. The RGB lights remain active after shutdown. Resetting the power supply and restarting resolves the problem.

I tried updating the BIOS, but resetting it to install the new BIOS kept the screen black. I had to force a shutdown. Previously, the BIOS worked fine. I also updated drivers, reinstalled GPU drivers, and disabled fast boot.
The PC seems to function properly under load. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

examining the second problem, I question whether the M.2 NVMe drive is installed in the system. I tried replacing it with another setup to test.
I experienced an issue where the computer would power on but get stuck displaying the Asrock logo along with a black screen, and no BIOS screen appeared when the BIOS key was pressed.
After removing the M.2 drive, the problem resolved.

Yes, I own one NVMe drive with my Windows installation. During regular startup, accessing BIOS is straightforward. However, during a forced shutdown after the screen freezes, the display fails to show even the motherboard logo upon boot. There is no signal detected from the digital cable.

Hey there,
NZXT is mainly for testing purposes. If you're only using it for RGB control, SignalRGB works well. I think the issue after the BIOS update might be because you didn't reset the CMOS. Without clearing it, the BIOS won't fully activate. Old microcode traces can remain until you clear the CMOS. For a Ryzen build, keeping your BIOS updated is especially important.

Currently, I leave the NZXT cam on. But I want to use it to manage the LCD display on the AiO pump. During the BIOS update, the system restarted but the screen remained black. Would you recommend turning it off and resetting the CMOS at this stage?

Yes, exactly.
Occasionally several restarts are needed for the UEFI/Bios to set up and for RAM testing. Continue through the steps until you successfully boot from the newest BIOS. After that, we can clearly assess your system's condition.

Yes, we cleared the CMOS afterward.
