What to consider when upgrading from an RTX 3060?
9070xt or rtx 5070Ti might be too much for 1080p display.
If you prefer to keep your existing monitor, you can reduce expenses by choosing rtx 5060Ti or 9060xt (16gb models).
However, if you plan to fully use the 9070xt/5070ti, it’s best to upgrade your monitor as well.

If you plan to invest $1000, I agree with this post. The 9070xt is a solid card. I own an asrock steel legend 9070xt. It's a nice card. However, if you buy a 9070xt along with a new monitor and PSU as suggested earlier, you'll be well-equipped for several more years.
I changed my graphics setup from an RTX 3060 to an RTX 4070 during Black Friday 2024. The 7950X would occasionally freeze while running long video transcodes with both GPUs.
Last night I moved from a Corsair TX850M (bought in December 2022) to an MSI MPG A1000G, and so far no crashes have occurred during 11-hour transcodes.
I’m hoping the additional power capacity from a 1000W PSU and the better ATX 3.1 short duration OCP have resolved the Nvidia transient issue. Before upgrading the PSU, I limited GPU power to 95% in MSI Afterburner to keep things stable.
My RTX 3060 was rated at 170W and the RTX 4070 at 200W, but sometimes a more powerful PSU really helps with consistency.
