What the best mesh wifi setup
Hello! You're planning to relocate and set up your home network for a spacious space—around 3,000 sq ft across two floors. A mesh network seems like a solid choice for wide coverage. While the Google Wi-Fi setup reviews are helpful, they’re from over a year ago, so I’m looking for more recent options or alternatives that might be better suited today. You mentioned needing roughly 550 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up, which is a solid requirement. Your current router can’t handle more than 300 Mbps, so you’ll want something capable of supporting higher speeds. Any suggestions or updated recommendations would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Currently, we suggest the Deco M5 system (TP link). It supports spaces up to 5500 sq ft and works with both 2.4 and 5G networks. It reaches 400Mbps on 2.4 and 867Mbps on 5.0. Outside of this, Ubiquiti offers quality products but they tend to be expensive and usually sell single units unless you purchase the 5-pack, which is unnecessary.
