Hello everyone. Today I planned to set up this new PC in the living room, yeah? No worries, I'm here to help. I needed an AMD 3700 B450 with a max of 3600 GB RAM and a CAS 16 motherboard for his new space. Before that, I wanted to install two front fans (H500 cooler Master) and remove the PSU completely. I unplugged the JRGB1 and connected it to JRGB2, but the computer didn't work properly at first—it showed some VGA red LEDs on the motherboard, tried many things, then a boot-up red light appeared. After plugging JRGB2 back in, the front fans still wouldn’t start. The PC booted into BIOS, and I’m stuck with no clear solution. I’m confused about what to do next. MSI motherboards are often criticized, especially for X570 models. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You're experiencing issues with the boot process on your MX500. The BIOS recognizes the main XMP500 chip, but you're still seeing the same problem. The VGA or boot LED on the motherboard lights up when you get that message. It seems like the system is having trouble starting properly. The GPU appears to be frozen, and you're noticing a black screen during boot along with the VGA light.

They aren't responding, like they don't glow or rotate. It seems you haven't set up any operating system yet, so it can't proceed beyond the BIOS.

Absolutely nothing went wrong! Everything was running smoothly. The two front fans didn’t spin, RGB worked perfectly, Windows installed, and everything functioned just fine. Today I switched JRGB2 into JRGB1 and restarted—everything changed. Probably MSI deserves its reputation after all.

Everything functioned correctly; you relocated it, connected and disconnected devices, but the problem persists. It might relate to the seating arrangement. A movement or improper connection could be causing the issue.

Many enthusiasts use various cables for the fan motor and RGB lights, but you might be missing some options. Clear CMOS helps resolve most issues MSI can cause.

I didn’t even shift the rig—it stayed on the table. My mind is spinning because it’s been set up that way for about three days. Today I just unplugged JRGB2 to 1 and everything worked fine. Now I have a VGA red LED on the motherboard, which means there’s a GPU issue. I played yesterday and everything was perfect. When I boot up now, I need to pick the boot device. It seems normal—it should be recognized in BIOS, and I can see it. I did a flashback and other stuff, so maybe MSI is at fault. Honestly, it’s frustrating when something just stops working like that.

CMOS fixes most issues MSI has already tried, including the jbat1 method. I'm planning to update the BIOS to the newest version, but honestly, I don't think it will fix the problem.

Bios update still shows the VGA light on the motherboard. In LoL, sometimes the VGA light on the motherboard turns off intermittently, but the system boots up. That’s weird. I’m thinking about swapping out the MSI motherboard with the original GPU and sending them back to the place they came from. Before that, I’ll inspect my rig closely tomorrow. If anything is missing or damaged, I’ll know right away. Everything looks fine so far—I just changed JRGB1 to JRGB2 for testing. It seems like this setup has a clear winner.

It seems it wasn't collected or relocated. The device remained open with connections being made and removed. Nothing seemed to affect it, so it probably isn't an issue.
