I'm changing my Crucial M.2 to store 128GB of Windows data today. I found a 1TB M.2 WDRed drive and need a safe way to move the files without losing anything or waiting too long.

Begin by setting up WD NVME. Ensure NVME appears in Windows Disk Management. Proceed to download Macrium Reflect Home Edition Free Trial and install it. Clone all partitions from your Crucial drive into the WD. Choose the appropriate option—either "Clone this disk" or "Image this disk"—when selecting the Crucial drive under macrium. If your existing drive is smaller, consider what to do with the remaining space on the WD. You may leave it untouched for future partitioning or merge it into the C partition you plan to clone. After cloning, update BIOS settings to change the boot file from Crucial to WD if needed. Finally, decide how to handle your Crucial drive: keep it as an unconnected backup, format it, or use it as storage.
