Hello! I aim to detach my Microsoft account from my Windows 11 laptop. When it was installed, it used a peculiar setup: all program app paths were placed on one drive. This usually isn’t an issue except for portability and moving games between PCs. My 10 PCs don’t use a single drive as the default user folder, so I have to manually adjust each program’s settings every time I need to copy files to a different location.

It would be simpler to remove my account from Microsoft altogether. I could check the Microsoft forums for guidance, but my profile is currently blocked, and even after logging back in, it keeps redirecting me. Is there anything I can do? Microsoft seems to have made this difficult.

P.S.: I still want to retain my profile/user information on my laptop since some data remains there. But right now, I lack access to a larger drive for the transfer. I just need to disconnect from Microsoft.

Examine the full link and check for comparable links if needed before proceeding.

Remove or unlink OneDrive.
Additionally, employ a Local Standard account for everyday use.
All my systems, including Windows 10 and 11, follow this setup.
The MS account exists but is rarely utilized.
